Guiding Frameworks

In order to establish a pipeline of institutional assessments and data that not only encompasses the mission and goals of the Office of Assessment but also highlights the academic progress and success of our students from their enrollment into the University to their entry into the workforce, the Office of Assessment utilizes the following three frameworks to guide and inform its endeavors.

This framework includes ongoing assessment practices that occur at the program level with a focus on the measurement and analysis of student learning outcomes and evaluation of the assessment maturity of UNM’s academic programs and academic support administrative units.

This framework involves the assessment infrastructures and processes that have been implemented at the college and institutional levels to measure, analyze and evaluate students learning within and across academic programs and academic support administrative units.

This framework includes institutional, national, and international assessment measures, data, and databases with a focus on analyzing our students’ educational attainment and professional success locally, nationally, and globally.
