Academic Degree Definition
All academic units at the University of New Mexico must assess their programming. An academic unit is defined as any degree or certificate granting program. Academic units observe an annual assessment cycle, collecting data throughout the Spring and Fall semesters and submitting a final report by January 31 of each year. The Office of Assessment & APR provides templates for guidance during the assessment process. The template for academic/degree program assessment can be found in PDF format and Word format. The Maturity Rubric and Narrative template can be found here.
