Assessment Committees

Provost's Committee on Assessment (PCA)

The Office of Assessment & Academic Program Review leads the Provost’s Committee on Assessment (PCA). The PCA oversees assessment reporting processes, practices, documents, and expectations for UNM’s academic programs, general education program (also known as the core curriculum) and administrative units. It facilitates the annual collection, review, and evaluation of all assessment reports.

PCA Meetings:

PCA meetings typically happen every month. Zoom links, calendar invites, and agendas will be emailed to all members in advance. Please email assess@unm.edu if you have questions.

College Assessment Review Committees (CARCs)

Each college, school, and branch is required to establish a committee that oversees and monitors assessment activities, practices, and processes associated with institutional effectiveness at the program and college/school/branch levels. Committees consist of faculty and staff representatives from academic programs within a college, school, or branch. Each committee also oversees an assessment webpage that includes assessment information, guidelines, and documents, which are linked below.
